Care

Exercise

Since they are always brimming with energy, they do need exercise like walking and jogging on a daily basis, or even a sufficient amount of playtime in an enclosed yard.

Grooming

They have a medium to long coat and need average maintenance. Comb their hair with a soft brush to clean the dead hair and keep the coat glossy. Their ears are floppy. Be alert about any possible infections.

Health Problems

No breed-specific health issues have yet been recorded.

Training

Obedience: Let your training be fun to your dog’s eyes. Teach it to stand still when examined or groomed by the veterinarian, and show your warmth by a cuddle, or giving a snack treat if it behaves like a good boy.

Socialization: Emphasize on socializing your pup on a regular basis, so as to avoid any possibility of developing ‘small dog syndrome’, quite common with dogs of small stature.

Tricks: Utilize the intelligence and zestful nature of these easy-to-train dogs by teaching them interesting tricks and games.

Diet/Feeding

These dogs would need half to one cup of dry dog food on a daily basis.
