Dogs that Hunt Coyotes
The US has a long tradition of hunting coyotes with humanity’s best friends. From gathering fur to protecting livestock to simply hunting them for sport, man has used dogs for hunting coyotes for a long time.
There are ethical questions about using dogs for hunting, as the dogs can get severely injured trying to bring down a coyote. Hunting coyotes with dogs appears very similar to dogfighting to some people who question its legality.
Regardless of how the practice is perceived, these dogs have been historically used to hunt coyotes.
