Herding Dogs
Herding dogs are breeds bred and trained for herding farm animals like cattle, sheep, and goats. It might sound scary, but their sheep herding ability actually comes from their inherent tendency to hunt, which has been modified through selective breeding, so the dogs now only herd their ‘prey’.
These dogs are active, hardworking, and loyal, with an excellent ability to understand and carry out orders. They make excellent family dogs. As these dogs were originally meant to work on a farm all day, modern herding dogs also need plenty of daily exercise.
