It has large eyes, long floppy ears, and a miniature Labrador-like appearance.

Temperament and Behavior
The loving, friendly, and good-natured Cavadors enjoy human presence and stay close to their owners. Moreover, these gentle and lovable dogs are good with kids. They make ideal playmates for children who can actively participate in dog sports or teach them tricks. These qualities make them excellent family pets.
Because of their lively as well as inquisitive disposition, they love to run around and explore things in the house. Since they have a keen sense of smell, an ‘interesting’ scent might urge them to track it to its source. They are always alert, watchful and wary of their surroundings, which make them useful for the detection of narcotics as well as other police works.
Care
Exercise
Being active and energetic, it needs a decent amount of exercise regularly. A daily 30-minute walk on a leash along with a jogging session is sufficient. You can also let your pet run and play games of fetch in a fenced yard to help burn off its energy, but ensure that there are no other smaller animals or rodents in the yard. If you own a puppy, make sure that, it is not overly worked out.
Grooming
Brush its coat several times a week to keep it shiny and free from loose or dead hair. Also, check its ears every week for signs of infection. If required, use a vet recommended solution to clean them. Bathing is recommended only when necessary.
Health Problems
Even though there are no known health issues specific to the Cavador, your pet may inherit one of the health conditions that its parent breeds are predisposed to, including hip dysplasia, genetic eye disease, heart disease like Mitral Valve Disease, and respiratory disorder such as Airway Obstruction Syndrome. Thus, it is advisable to take your pet to the vet for medical check-ups every 2-3 months.
Training
Training a Cavador is something that you will find enjoyable. As an intelligent breed, it accepts and obeys your instructions promptly and can learn to do some tricks. Obedience classes and socialization training during puppyhood are necessary to curb its chasing or hunting instincts.
Feeding
Serve your pet 1.5-2.5 cups of dry kibble daily but divide it into two meals.
